What's the difference between anabolic steroids and these peptides that people actually use to improve health?

Steroids is a whole other class of drugs that do a lot of damage in the body. Now they can be, we've probably all heard of regular steroids like Prednisone dexamethasone, and they play a role, but I have to say I'm an unusual endocrinologist.
I'm an endocrinologist who minimizes the use of steroids because of the damage it does beyond just suppressing symptoms. So it's wonderful to take care of some inflammation and if somebody has a very severe B bite and they're allergic and could be anaphylactic or they have a severe respiratory infection, a short course of steroids.
could be helpful, but beware of bone loss. Beware of other impacts. Anabolic steroids are a whole other class, and they are extremely dangerous. They undermine the lipid system. I've seen many people who think they're doing the right thing by getting drugs at gyms and using what they think their trainers are doing when, in fact, it makes them extremely healthy.
It wipes out all the good cholesterol and destroys, you know, your bad cholesterol. So you are much sicker. And so I strongly discourage the use of it. We can tell in the data when somebody has been using it and even mega doses of testosterone, which is we use routinely both human chorionic and endotropin.
Simple peptide hormones are protein hormones that are strings of amino acids, just like peptides. And they work usually in synergy with the body. Now there could be all sorts of effects, so one has to be familiar with why you're implementing them, but that brings me all the way to ozempic, semaglutide, and trizazepide, because manjaro and and ozempic and wagovia are also peptides that work in sync with the body if you know what you're doing.
That's the biggest fear I have, that a lot of folks are using these agents and they're getting them in ways that may not be straightforward, and as a result, it can undermine their health as opposed to support their health.
