What diet should I follow when taking HVMN Ketone?

The unique property of HVMN Ketone is that you do not need to change your diet in order to be in ketosis. This means that athletes can fuel as normal with carbohydrate and also have ketones as an extra energy for training, competition and recovery.

If you don’t normally follow a ketogenic diet and are taking exogenous ketones to boost endurance performance, we recommend that you take HVMN Ketone alongside your standard pre-workout meal. Make sure to include adequate carbohydrates. If you are using HVMN Ketone to help you recover from a workout, then include some carbohydrate (2 g/kg) and protein (0.3 g/kg) to maximize your recovery.

If you normally follow a ketogenic diet, you do not need to take carbs to get energy from HVMN Ketone.

Research has yet to determine which of the benefits of a ketogenic diet and fasting are caused by ketones themselves, or by the diet as a whole. Therefore, in order to maximize the potential benefits, we recommend that you make modifications to your diet and lifestyle where possible:

  • Reduce the amount of refined carbohydrates in your diet
  • Increase the amount of energy coming from healthy fats in your diet
  • Ensure you are properly hydrated
  • Try to increase your physical activity where possible
